Bài Tập Câu Điều Kiện Loại 1 và 2

Chào các bạn! Hôm nay, chúng ta sẽ cùng nhau tìm hiểu về câu điều kiện loại 1 và loại 2 trong tiếng Anh. Đây là những kiến thức quan trọng trong việc nắm vững ngữ pháp tiếng Anh. Mình đã tạo ra một bài tập về câu điều kiện loại 1 và loại 2 với đáp án chi tiết để các bạn tự luyện tập. Cùng khám phá nhé!

Bài tập câu điều kiện loại 1 và 2 (phần 1)

Bài 1:
Điền đúng dạng của động từ vào chỗ trống.

  1. They would be offended if I didn’t go to their party. (not/go)
  2. If you took more exercise, you would feel better. (feel)
  3. If they offered me the job, I think I would take it. (take)
  4. A lot of people would be out of work if the car factory closed down. (close down)
  5. If I sold my car, I wouldn’t get much money for it. (not/get)
  6. What would happen if somebody pressed that red button? (press)
  7. I don’t think there’s any chance that Grey and Emma will get married. I’d be absolutely astonished if they did. (do)
  8. Liz gave me this ring. She would be very upset if I lost it. (be)
  9. Dave and Kate are expecting us. They would be very disappointed if we didn’t come. (not/come)

Ngữ pháp câu điều kiện loại 1 và loại 2

A. Câu điều kiện loại 1 và 2 trong tiếng Anh

Bạn hãy theo dõi và so sánh các ví dụ sau đây:

Ví dụ 1:
Sue đã làm mất chiếc đồng hồ của mình và cô ấy nghĩ rằng nó có thể nằm ở nhà Ann.

  • SUE: I think I left my watch at your house. Have you seen it? (Tôi nghĩ mình để chiếc đồng hồ ở nhà bạn. Bạn đã thấy nó chưa?)
  • ANN: No, but I’ll have a look when I get home. Nếu tôi tìm thấy, tôi sẽ nói cho bạn biết. (Không, nhưng khi tôi về nhà, tôi sẽ kiểm tra xem. Nếu tìm thấy, tôi sẽ báo cho bạn biết.)

Trong ví dụ này, Ann cảm thấy khả năng tìm thấy chiếc đồng hồ của Sue là khá thực tế. Vì vậy, cô ấy nói: “If I find it, I’ll tell you.” (Nếu tìm thấy, tôi sẽ báo cho bạn biết.) Đây là cấu trúc của câu điều kiện loại 1, dùng để diễn tả điều kiện có khả năng xảy ra trong hiện tại.

Ví dụ 2:
Ann nói: “Nếu tôi nhặt được một cái ví trên đường, tôi sẽ mang nó đến đồn cảnh sát.”

Đây là một tình huống khác. Trong ví dụ này, Ann không nghĩ đến khả năng thực tế của việc tìm thấy một cái ví trên đường. Cô ấy đang giả định một tình huống và không mong chờ tìm thấy ví trên đường. Vì vậy, cô ấy nói: “If I found a wallet in the street, I’d take it to the police.” (Nếu tìm thấy một cái ví trên đường, tôi sẽ mang nó đến đồn cảnh sát.) Đây là cấu trúc của câu điều kiện loại 2, dùng để diễn tả điều kiện không có thực trong hiện tại.

B. Có sử dụng would trong mệnh đề if không?

Thường thì chúng ta không sử dụng “would” trong mệnh đề “if”.

Ví dụ:

  • I’d be very frightened if somebody pointed a gun at me. (Tôi sẽ rất sợ nếu ai đó chĩa súng vào tôi.)
  • If I didn’t go to their party, they’d be offended. (Nếu tôi không tới bữa tiệc của họ, họ sẽ giận.)

Nhưng bạn cũng có thể sử dụng “if… would…” khi bạn yêu cầu một người làm điều gì đó.

Ví dụ:

  • “from a formal letter” I would be grateful if you would send me your brochure as soon as possible. (“trong một lá thư giao dịch” Tôi rất biết ơn nếu bạn gửi cho tôi cuốn tự giới thiệu càng sớm càng tốt.)
  • “Shall I close the door?” “Yes, please, if you would.” (“Tôi có thể đóng cửa được không?” “Vâng, bạn có thể nếu bạn muốn.”)

C. Trong mệnh đề còn lại, chúng ta có thể sử dụng would (‘d)/wouldn’t

Ví dụ:

  • If you took more exercise, you’d probably feel healthier. (Nếu bạn tập thể dục nhiều hơn, bạn có lẽ sẽ cảm thấy khỏe hơn.)
  • Would you mind if I used your phone? (Bạn có phiền nếu tôi sử dụng điện thoại của bạn?)
  • I’m not tired enough to go to bed yet. I wouldn’t sleep if I went to bed now. (Tôi chưa mệt đến mức phải đi ngủ. Nếu tôi đi ngủ bây giờ, tôi sẽ không thể ngủ được.)

Với loại câu điều kiện này, bạn cũng có thể sử dụng could và might để thay thế cho would.

Ví dụ:

  • If you took more exercise, you might feel healthier. (Có thể bạn sẽ cảm thấy khỏe hơn)
  • If it stopped raining, we could go out. (Nếu trời ngừng mưa, chúng ta có thể ra ngoài.)

D. Có thể sử dụng when thay cho if không?

Với hai loại câu điều kiện trong bài viết này (câu điều kiện loại 1 và câu điều kiện loại 2), chúng ta không sử dụng “when” để thay thế cho “if”.

Ví dụ:

  • They would be offended if we didn’t accept their invitation. (Họ sẽ giận nếu chúng ta không chấp nhận lời mời của họ.)
  • What would you do if you were bitten by a snake? (Bạn sẽ làm gì nếu bị rắn cắn?)
