Theo số liệu mới nhất năm 2020 từ tổ chức ETS (Đơn vị cấp chứng chỉ TOEIC quốc tế), điểm trung bình của người dân Việt Nam là 491 điểm. Ở Việt Nam, nếu bạn đạt điểm TOEIC 750+ trở lên, bạn có thể coi đó là một điểm số cao.
Còn việc xem điểm TOEIC nào là cao phụ thuộc vào quốc gia. Ví dụ, ở Đức, điểm trung bình là 826 điểm, gần tiệm cận điểm cao nhất của TOEIC là 990 điểm. Còn ở Philippines, một quốc gia mà Tiếng Anh được xem như ngôn ngữ chính thức, điểm trung bình là 773 điểm.
