Thi nói IELTS như thế nào? Cấu trúc của đề thi IELTS Speaking

Thời gian làm bài: 10-15 phút.
Bài thi Speaking IELTS gồm 3 Part (Phần), được xếp hạng độ khó từ Part 1 – Part 3.

Part 1: Thí sinh trả lời một số câu hỏi liên quan đến thông tin cá nhân như nơi ở, công việc, gia đình…

Part 2: Thí sinh có 2 phút để thể hiện phần thi Nói của mình với chủ đề được cho sẵn. Cần chuẩn bị trong 1 phút trước khi bắt đầu.

1. What do you do?

   • I’m a piano professor and currently working at HCMC Conservatory of Music. My daily responsibilities are to teach intensive piano lessons for students, demonstrate various and up-to-date piano techniques, and keep track of their progress with detail-oriented feedback. (preptoeic.click)

2. Why did you choose your job?

   • I chose Medicine because my strong suits back in school are biology and physics. I know it’s a worldwide respected profession. And more importantly, Medicine gives me a deep sense of fulfillment knowing that I can help people live their best lives.

3. What do you do after work?

   • I will give my mom a hand to cook dinner. After that, I might relax a bit, then watch some favorite movies and hit the sack. From time to time, I will go for a drink with one of my best friends.

4. Are you enjoying your job?

   • I’m enjoying my job as a freelance writer. It is because I can make a decent income both for myself and my family. Another reason is that it enables me to have more work-life balance, due to its flexibility when it comes to choosing your most productive time to work.

5. Is there any type of job that you want to do?

   • I would like a type of job that requires some out-of-the-box thinking and social interaction. It’s cool to see a group of insightful people sharing ideas and working together for the mutual benefit of their organization. To me, that’s quite inspiring.

1. What major are you studying?

   • I’m currently pursuing my major in Neuroscience. This is my third year at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. After finishing my Bachelor’s program, I want to continue my studies.

2. Why did you choose your major?

   • I chose Philosophy because I love digging down and exploring new insights from various perspectives. As a kid, I was always hooked on finding answers for existential questions like “Who am I? What is my purpose?…. So, I want to follow this major and see how it goes.

3. What is your favorite subject in high school?

   • I have to say it’s Human Biology. It has fascinated me how harmoniously every cell in our body is inextricably linked. The more I get to understand the fundamentals of this subject, the more I can see the beauty of nature and Mother Earth.

4. Are you working on any jobs besides your time at university?

   • No, I’m not. I want to give my full attention to my study at the university for this first year. I might consider looking for a side hustle when I get the hang of the new lifestyle as a freshman.

5. What’s your future plan after finishing university?

   • I have figured out that I want to be a university professor after graduation. This position fits my genuine interest as a kid because I love teaching and researching a lot. So, I’m working hard on my thesis to go after this dream.

1. Who are you closest to in your family?

   • I spend the most time with my father. He’s the one showing me the positive side of the world. He doesn’t show much, but I know he cares a lot about me. Also, he’s the man of few words, but his words carry weight.

2. What do you like to do with your family?

   • We love to dine out every weekend. Each time, we let the other family member choose where and what to eat in the city. Our favorite dishes are the all-you-can-eat buffet or Vietnamese hotpot. This is our special time reconnecting with each other after a long hard weekend.

3. How often do you spend time with your family?

   • Not as much as I used to. The reason is I’m currently working and living away from home. However, I have made a rule for myself that I will have at least one video call and two phone calls/day with my parents. Now, I would assume that I spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour/day communicating with my family.

4. Do you want to live with your parents in the future?

   • Absolutely, I have made up my mind that after graduating from the university, I will go back to my hometown, find a job, and live with them. Some friends would judge me with my decision, but I know deep down I’m a family-oriented person. At least when I live with my parents, I will have a sense of ease knowing that they’re still happy, healthy, and on my side.

5. Do you get along with your brothers or sisters?

   • I have a younger sister. We used to fight about nonsense things when we were younger. It was so much fun then. Now, there comes a point when she and I don’t communicate much like we did. It’s not that we’re upset with each other or something. I think it’s because she’s a teenager and has a whole new world to explore.

1. What is your hobby?

   • My go-to activity is reading books. I am a bookworm, and have always been called a nerd ever since I was in elementary school. I find that reading books is an excellent approach to learn about other cultures in the world. I also love the sensation of touching and playing with the paper pages. It calms me down a lot whenever I feel stressed out.

2. Have you ever tried to pursue a professional career path with your hobby?

   • I don’t think it’s possible at the moment because I discovered my passion for writing quite late in life. It was when I was 27 years old. But yes, those thoughts have crossed my mind on several occasions. I might consider working on it as my side earning income from now on.

3. What benefits do you have from your hobby?

   • The first benefit that comes to my mind is that reading improves my knowledge and expands my horizons. It helps me to develop critical thinking skills and express myself more fluently. Additionally, reading also serves as a great escape from reality and offers a form of relaxation and entertainment.

4. How much time do you set aside for your hobby?

   • I would say a minimum of 2 hours a day. I have a 9-5 job, so I’m always pressed for time. However, I never miss a day without reading. It does wonders for me, including regulating my mood, entering the flow state, which helps me perform at my best, as well as connecting with my true self.

5. What sorts of hobbies do you want to try in the future?

   • I want to give martial arts a try. I often picture myself fighting bad guys and helping tons of people whenever I go out on the street. However, since I’m a wallflower, I still have a hard time talking myself into joining the first class.
